Can Clean Lean Protein be used for weight loss?
Clean Lean Protein is not a weight loss product, however, protein supplementation is proven to promote weight loss by increasing satiety and regulating blood glucose levels to sustain energy. Coupled with a diet of whole foods and adequate exercise, Clean Lean Protein is able to increase your metabolic rate to help maintain a healthy weight.
Can Clean Lean Protein be used for muscle gain?
Protein supplementation, combined with resistance exercise training, is proven to significantly enhance muscle strength and gain in healthy people; and research shows that pea protein (e.g. Clean Lean Protein) has equal effect on muscle thickness as whey protein. The WHO minimum daily requirements for protein intake is 0.83g/kg of your body weight, and research indicates that the upper limit for safety is 2.2g/kg. Work with a nutritionist to optimise your protein intake to meet your specific needs.
When is the best time to take Clean Lean Protein?
Clean Lean Protein can be consumed at any time of the day as a snack, in your smoothie, or as a training supplement. Research suggests that with adequate energy intake, protein supplements can be consumed pre- or post-training to stimulate lean muscle synthesis. The suggested intake to support muscle development is 0.4-0.5g/kg of lean body mass (muscle mass).
How do i mix your products?
Simply add 2 scoops (25g) to 350ml water or milk of your choice and enjoy.
Can Clean Lean Protein be taken as a meal replacement?
Clean Lean Protein alone is not a meal replacement, it is simply a very clean, high-quality protein supplement that supports overall vitality, muscle recovery, and repair. To use Clean Lean Protein as a meal replacement, you would need to mix it with Good Green Vitality (for the micronutrients), carbohydrates (like banana), and fats (like milk or coconut oil) in order to meet the nutritional requirements of a complete meal.
Can Clean Lean Protein be taken by those that have cancer?
Due to possible nutrient-drug interactions, it’s important that anyone with a pre-existing medical condition or taking medication consults with their health practitioner prior to commencing any nutritional supplements.
How much Clean Lean Protein should be consumed per day?
The guidelines for protein intake vary from country-to-country, however the World Health Organisation (WHO) suggests that the Safe Level of Protein (SLP) intake is 0.83g/kg of body weight per day.1 In a 60kg female, that would equate to 49.8g of protein per day. Clean Lean Protein can be considered an additional source of protein in a varied diet, providing 18-21g of protein per 25g serving, dependant on flavour, offering a generous contribution to your individual requirements. If you engage in moderate to high levels of physical activity, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have specific health conditions, your protein requirements may increase. Refer to the WHO's guidelines on protein intake for specific values.
Is Clean Lean Protein easy to digest?
Clean Lean Protein is very easy to digest. Pea protein itself is gentle on the stomach and doesn’t cause the digestive discomfort often associated with dairy (whey or casein) or other plant proteins. Our patented water-based isolation process produces protein that is low in phytates and free from lectins and other antinutrients that can damage the gut and interfere with nutrient absorption, providing a digestibility rating of 98%.
There are no fillers, preservatives or processing aids present in Clean Lean Protein which are commonly associated with digestive discomfort. Furthermore, pea protein contains the conditionally essential amino acid glutamine which is involved in maintaining the integrity of the gut lining.

I have a salicylates sensitivity- do you happen to know/ test for salicylates in the protein and if so how much is in it?
We currently do not test Clean Lean Protein for salicylate content specifically. However, our pea isolate in Clean Lean Protein is considered a low salicylate product given that it is made from peas, a low salicylate food.
In addition, we can confirm that our pea protein isolate has no added sugar, low amounts of carbohydrates and contains no anti-nutrients such as lectins, phytic acid, saponins and trypsin inhibitors.
It is unlikely that Clean Lean Protein will contribute to any issues related to a salicylate reaction. However, if you have any concerns regarding this, we recommend consulting with a qualified health care practitioner before taking any new products.
Do your Clean Lean Protein bars contain allergens?
The allergens in Clean Lean Protein Bars vary based on the ingredients required to create our delicious flavours. Please see below to clarify the allergens present in your favourite flavour. Where we’ve stated ‘may contain’ this is due to the Bars being manufactured on a line which also uses those allergens. This is just a precautionary warning as the contract manufacturer uses strict clean-down procedures after every run.

Please see the nutrition information panel on the bars for a more complete breakdown of ingredients present.
Why do your Clean Lean Protein bars contain “natural flavouring”?
Whilst whole food ingredients provide the perfect balance of macronutrients needed to sustain your energy throughout the day, Clean Lean Protein Bars contain small amounts of natural flavouring to enhance the flavour profile of the bar, so they are as tasty as they are nutritious.
Why do your Clean Lean Protein bars vary in taste from time to time?
Clean Lean Protein Bars may vary in taste from time-to-time due to seasonal variations in natural ingredients, and also as a result of sourcing raw ingredients from different suppliers based on availability, which is the nature of working with our approved and certified contract manufacturers.
The temperature and humidity that the bars are exposed to during transport or storage may also impact the taste of the bars slightly, which is why we recommend you store your bars in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight.
Why is my bar more firm/soft than the previous one I purchased?
We always believe whole food comes first; so our bars are made using natural ingredients, with no preservatives, which means the texture may change over time. Certain ingredients such as date paste create a softer consistency and provide moisture; however, our Clean Lean Protein, nuts, and seeds absorb moisture naturally which means there will be slight variations from bar to bar. This is the nature of food products. Additionally, external factors such as temperature, environment, storage conditions and shipping can also affect texture.
Can Clean Lean Protein Bars be consumed as a meal replacement?
Clean Lean Protein Bars are not intended to be used as a meal replacement. The bars are a nutritious, snack to help keep you feel fuller for longer when you’re on-the-go. If you’re looking for appropriate low calorie meal replacement options, we recommend you speak with your health care professional.

Have you done an analysis of the oxalate content in Good Green Vitality?
Good Green Vitality is an all-in-one supplement formula packed with nutrients to support every system of the body and therefore includes some plant foods considered high in oxalates.
At this stage, we have not analysed the full oxalate content for a serve of Good Green Vitality. There is around 700mg of the ingredients considered high in oxalates, however these wholefood ingredients have been processed and dehydrated which makes it very unlikely to contain high levels of oxalates given that these usually are removed during processing.
Oxalates is a compound naturally found in many foods and for that reason they are practically unavoidable. Generally, wholefood powders have a risk of small amounts present, but these would be considerably lower than what is found in their whole food state.
If you are following a diet low in oxalates due to kidney stones or other reasons, we recommend consulting with your doctor or health care practitioner before taking any new supplements.
Can Good Green Vitality support digestive health?
Yes, Good Green Vitality includes a variety of ingredients that support digestion. It contains 8 billion CFU probiotics in the form of Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacteria lactus. Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria are bacteria that are naturally occurring in nature, fermented foods, and are part of the human gut. These strains assist in the regulation of digestion and the absorption of nutrients. They have also been shown to improve gut-health via reducing diarrhoea, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
Good Green Vitality also contains prebiotic fibres, including psyllium husk, slippery elm, and apple pectin. Psyllium husk is known to reduce constipation. Apple pectin is considered a ‘gentle’ prebiotic that does not appear to cause gastric disturbances, when compared to other fibres, and has demonstrated excellent results in improving bacteria status. Slippery elm contains mucilaginous compounds that provide a soothing effect for mucous membranes and may play a role in feeding the cells of the gastrointestinal tract and gut bacteria. Aloe vera has also been included to provide a soothing and nourishing effect for the gastrointestinal tract. Lastly, bromelain from pineapple is included in the formulation for its digestive benefits.
Can Good Green Vitality be taken by those that have cancer?
We always recommend that anyone with a pre-existing condition and those taking medication consult a qualified health practitioner before using any nutritional supplement.
